Do Danish citizens need a visa for Uganda?
Danish ordinary-passport holders need a visa for Uganda. Denmark's foreign ministry describes an online application before departure and six months of passport validity at entry. Its guidance restricts Danish and EU emergency-passport recognition to departure towards Denmark under stated circumstances; do not read that as general acceptance for a new tourist arrival. This guide concerns ordinary-passport applications.

Check the difference between emergency departure and a new arrival
Denmark's passport-and-visa guidance says Danish provisional passports and EU emergency passports are recognised for departure to Denmark in the circumstances it describes. It also tells travellers to check transit-country acceptance. Those statements concern an emergency return arrangement; they should not be converted into a general promise that any such document can support a new holiday arrival in Uganda.
If you are arranging a replacement or travelling on an unusual document, resolve its acceptance before using a standard application. Explain the document type, direction of travel and transit stops to the appropriate authorities. An online form accepting an attachment cannot establish that a border or airline will accept the document. Keep this ordinary-passport guide separate from advice for an emergency return.

Prepare a separate identity set for each Danish traveller
For a Danish family holiday, start with each person's current passport, photograph and travel details. A parent may organise the bookings, but the application must describe the named traveller. Check passport expiry against the intended entry date and ensure that any renewal has been reflected in the details entered. Do not use the parent's biodata page in place of the child's document.
Read the family booking to see whether it identifies every applicant or only the lead guest. Keep the shared itinerary available while preparing the individual files. If a child or partner travels on another nationality, check that person's passport guide rather than applying the Danish assessment to the entire group. Any additional family or consent-document questions need a separate check for the actual circumstances.

The live portal instructions specify JPEG, PNG, BMP or PDF, 5–250 KB per file, with supporting documents in English. Keep the original documents for travel. Further evidence may be requested.

Choose the issuing route from the first border entry
A tour sold in Denmark may begin in Uganda, Kenya or Rwanda. Read the first arrival and any planned border crossings before choosing the visa. A Uganda-first regional holiday can be compared with the East Africa product offered through this website. If Nairobi or Kigali is the first entry, investigate that issuing-country route rather than selecting Uganda because the gorilla trek is there.
For a Uganda-only trip, count international arrivals rather than hotels. Moving between lodges does not create multiple entries. If the plan leaves Uganda for a country outside the participating regional area and later returns, resolve the return permission first. Use the Multiple Entry evidence guide where appropriate, without assuming that two reservations alone satisfy that category's supporting-document requirements.

Review the English document set before opening checkout
Danish-language booking information should be prepared so the supporting details are readable in English, as requested by Uganda's upload instructions. Compare the names, intended dates and accommodation address with the form. Use the file preparation checker to inspect reported file properties, then reopen the actual saved files yourself. Passing a size check does not confirm that a passport scan is complete or legible.
Before a paid request, look at the category, duration and selected total on the review screen. Ask about a missing document or an unclear travel purpose at that stage. Keep your reference and registered email for subsequent questions. A contact message, a booking payment or a confirmation that a request was received is not itself immigration approval for the Danish passport.

Does a parent's Uganda request cover the whole Danish family?
Prepare the named traveller's own passport details, photograph and application files for each person who requires a visa. Shared reservations do not replace individual identity documents, and a family member with another nationality needs that passport's assessment.

Which route fits a Danish tour starting in Kigali?
Check the Rwanda issuing route for a regional itinerary whose first entry is Rwanda. The Uganda route is for Uganda-first regional travel; the location of a later activity does not change the initial entry.

Uganda Visa's total price per applicant is USD 99 for a Tourist Visa and USD 199 for an East Africa Tourist Visa. Multiple Visa costs USD 199 for 6 or 12 months, or USD 299 for 24 months. The selected total appears before you send your application.
How long does a Uganda eVisa take to process?
The review time depends on the visa category, completeness of the application and immigration checks. Submit before travel and allow time for further document requests. Your intended arrival date is not a promised decision date. Monitor the email address used for the application.

How long can I stay, and when should I use my approval?
A single-entry visit can be granted for up to three months; your issued permission controls the actual stay. Uganda Immigration says the approval authorisation must be used within 90 days of approval. The travel window and the stay granted are different. Read both before departure.
