Check the permission, not just the Swedish booking confirmation
Sweden Abroad confirms that Swedish citizens need a Uganda visa and links to the online system. Its FAQ uses wording about a confirmation letter and airport issuance. Read that alongside Uganda Immigration's application steps: a message acknowledging an application is not itself proof of a favourable decision. Before departure, identify which document you have actually received.
A practical way to organise the records is to keep the safari reservation, the request reference and any issued authorisation in separate files. Check the traveller's name, passport number and dates on the authorisation. If an email only gives a reference or asks for more evidence, use the appropriate follow-up channel instead of treating the safari payment or that message as permission to board.

Convert a shared safari itinerary into individual application evidence
A Swedish family or tour group may receive one booking document covering everyone. Read it before preparing each application: does it identify the traveller, first arrival, accommodation and departure? If the file only contains a package title and a list of lodges, ask the organiser for the missing details. This is preparation advice, not a requirement to purchase another travel service.
Keep each person's passport page and photograph attached to that person's request. A companion's passport or a collage of the group's documents does not establish the applicant's identity. For supporting bookings written in Swedish, prepare the information in English as requested by the Uganda application instructions. Preserve the originals so a later question can be answered without reconstructing the trip.

The live portal instructions specify JPEG, PNG, BMP or PDF, 5–250 KB per file, with supporting documents in English. Keep the original documents for travel. Further evidence may be requested.

Entebbe or Nairobi first: decide from the full itinerary
Consider a planning example in which a Swedish traveller arrives at Entebbe, visits Uganda and then continues to Rwanda. The Uganda-first regional route is worth comparing with a Uganda-only Tourist Visa. If the first regional arrival is Nairobi instead, check the Kenya issuing route. The country where a tour company is based does not determine the issuing country.
Read every international flight and border crossing in sequence. Several Uganda lodges are still one Uganda visit; a later return from another country creates a separate entry question. Tanzania is outside the three-country regional product. Resolve permission for an exit and return before paying for a product merely described by the operator as an East Africa safari.

Read dated entry notices alongside older embassy information
The Swedish embassy's visa FAQ also contains health-document wording. Uganda has issued a newer, dated notice about yellow-fever entry certification, while older category lists still contain a vaccination item. These sources should not silently be treated as identical. Check the current application instructions and the requirements of any other country in your journey; ask a health professional about medical decisions.

Uganda Visa's total price per applicant is USD 99 for a Tourist Visa and USD 199 for an East Africa Tourist Visa. Multiple Visa costs USD 199 for 6 or 12 months, or USD 299 for 24 months. The selected total appears before you send your application.
How long does a Uganda eVisa take to process?
The review time depends on the visa category, completeness of the application and immigration checks. Submit before travel and allow time for further document requests. Your intended arrival date is not a promised decision date. Monitor the email address used for the application.

How long can I stay, and when should I use my approval?
A single-entry visit can be granted for up to three months; your issued permission controls the actual stay. Uganda Immigration says the approval authorisation must be used within 90 days of approval. The travel window and the stay granted are different. Read both before departure.
