Do Egyptian citizens need a visa for Uganda?
Egyptian ordinary-passport holders need a visa for a Uganda holiday. Egypt appears in Uganda's separate diplomatic and official passport arrangements, not the ordinary-passport exemption list. Use the ordinary passport you will actually carry and select Egyptian nationality in the application. A special-document arrangement or a visit to the Cairo mission should not be treated as approval for an ordinary tourism request.

Read the exemption section for the actual Egyptian document
Uganda publishes ordinary-passport exemptions separately from diplomatic and official arrangements. Egypt is named in the latter section. Before interpreting a claim that Egyptian travellers are visa-free, identify the document category and the purpose covered. An ordinary tourist passport requires its own assessment; the nationality alone does not make every published arrangement applicable to every traveller.
If the visit involves an official assignment, a special passport or an unusual travel document, clarify its treatment through the appropriate authorities before using the ordinary holiday route. Do not select a tourist product solely because it is offered online. Accurate document and purpose information is more useful than an assumption drawn from another person's journey or a broad headline about bilateral relations.

Use the passport's personal details when preparing English files
Compare the name fields on the Egyptian passport with the application and passenger booking. An Arabic-language itinerary or a reservation showing a shortened sequence of names may need clarification before the English supporting information is prepared. Do not choose an informal spelling or rearrange names simply to make one booking display look shorter. Resolve a field-mapping question before payment.
Use the full readable passport biodata page, the traveller's own photograph and documents for the selected visa. Keep accommodation details and arrival and departure plans consistent with the form. The live portal instructions specify JPEG, PNG, BMP or PDF, 5–250 KB per file, with supporting documents in English. Keep the original documents for travel. Further evidence may be requested.

Uganda's official embassy website in Cairo provides the mission's consular and government-service routes. Use current official contacts for a matter requiring the embassy, and confirm any visiting arrangements before travelling there. Do not infer that attending the mission is a mandatory step in every online tourist request or that a private application's reference is an embassy-issued approval.
For a preparation question about this website, describe the product and missing information to Uganda Visa support. For a government-portal application, use the government's own follow-up system and its reference. A question about issuing or correcting an Egyptian passport belongs with the responsible Egyptian service. Keep those responsibilities separate and avoid sending sensitive identity files through a general support message.

Plan the international entries rather than counting Uganda nights
An Egyptian traveller arriving in Uganda and continuing to Kenya or Rwanda should compare the regional product with the full itinerary. First entry through Uganda is required for the Uganda issuing route. If the regional holiday starts elsewhere, check that country's route. A journey returning to Uganda after another destination may instead raise Multiple Entry evidence questions, especially when it leaves the regional area.
Current residence abroad does not change the Egyptian passport nationality used in that assessment. Enter residence separately and confirm any permissions needed for the connection or return journey. Before sending the request, review the passport, category, dates and selected total together. Neither the itinerary nor a payment confirmation establishes that immigration has granted the requested permission.

Do not apply that arrangement to an ordinary holiday passport. Uganda lists Egypt under its separate diplomatic and official passport section. Check the actual document type and purpose before selecting an application.

Does living outside Egypt change the visa nationality?
Use the passport you will carry and enter residence separately. An Egyptian passport holder living abroad should not select the residence country's nationality unless that is the actual travel passport being used.

How much is a Uganda visa for Egyptian citizens?
Uganda Visa's total price per applicant is USD 99 for a Tourist Visa and USD 199 for an East Africa Tourist Visa. Multiple Visa costs USD 199 for 6 or 12 months, or USD 299 for 24 months. The selected total appears before you send your application.
How long does a Uganda eVisa take to process?
The review time depends on the visa category, completeness of the application and immigration checks. Submit before travel and allow time for further document requests. Your intended arrival date is not a promised decision date. Monitor the email address used for the application.

How long can I stay, and when should I use my approval?
A single-entry visit can be granted for up to three months; your issued permission controls the actual stay. Uganda Immigration says the approval authorisation must be used within 90 days of approval. The travel window and the stay granted are different. Read both before departure.
