Do Israeli citizens need a visa for Uganda?
Israeli ordinary-passport holders need a visa for a Uganda holiday. Israel is not on Uganda's ordinary-passport exemption list. This guide is for an ordinary Israeli passport, not an automatic acceptance decision for a laissez-passer or another document. Prepare the passport-specific online request before travel and clarify any unusual document with the responsible authorities before making a paid application.

Identify a passport or laissez-passer before starting
Israel's Population and Immigration Authority describes passports and laissez-passers as distinct travel documents. That is an important first check for a Uganda applicant. Do not assume that a guide written for an ordinary passport also determines acceptance of a different document. Uganda's actual instructions and the relevant authorities must establish the treatment of the travel document you intend to use.
If a laissez-passer, temporary document or replacement is involved, ask about acceptance for Uganda and every transit country before using a standard request. Give the exact document type and route rather than only the nationality. A nationality being available in an online dropdown does not establish that every document issued to a citizen can be used under the same application conditions.

Keep the Uganda request tied to one travel-passport identity
An Israeli traveller with another passport should decide which document will be presented for Uganda and use that document's eligibility assessment. Do not mix its number with a scan from the other passport or copy an expiry date from a previous document. Keep the personal details, nationality and attachments consistent through the review screen and any permission subsequently issued.
Departure from and return to Israel raise separate document questions. Confirm the current Israeli rules for your circumstances rather than assuming that a Uganda visa resolves them. Do not rely on an expired temporary concession or another person's travel experience. The destination visa, airline checks and home-country document rules concern different steps in the same journey.

An Israeli traveller checks passport versus laissez-passer
Planning example: The traveller wants the ordinary Tourist route but holds a different travel-document category. Resolve its treatment for the full route before a paid request.
- Give the exact document type when confirming acceptance.
- Keep one travel-passport identity throughout the Uganda request.
- Check current Israeli departure and return rules separately.

Uganda eVisa requirements for Israeli passport holders
For a Tourist Visa, prepare these files and your travel details. Use the passport you will carry to Uganda. The application checklist changes when you select a different visa category.
Passport biodata page
A clear copy of the details page. Your passport needs at least six months of validity.
Recent passport photograph
A clear passport-style photograph taken within the last six months.
Return ticket
Your return flight or onward travel booking.
Accommodation and travel plan
Have your Uganda accommodation address, intended arrival date, entry point and planned stay ready. Keep booking details and a tour plan available if requested.
The live portal instructions specify JPEG, PNG, BMP or PDF, 5–250 KB per file, with supporting documents in English. Keep the original documents for travel. Further evidence may be requested.
Checklist: live immigration portal and tourist visa guidance. Check current entry-document notices and your departure-country travel advice before travel; older category checklists can differ.
Visa options and total prices
Choose by your destinations and entry pattern. These are Uganda Visa totals per applicant in US dollars.
Planning more than one country? Read the East Africa Tourist Visa requirements and first-entry guide. For repeated Uganda visits, compare the 6-, 12- and 24-month Multiple Entry choices. Immigration decides approval and the stay permitted.
Prepare each family member's own identity files
The Israeli document service explicitly discusses individual documents for children and babies. For the Uganda request, prepare the named traveller's own passport page and photograph rather than relying on an adult's identity file. A shared holiday reservation can help describe the itinerary, but every applicant's names, date of birth, passport number and expiry need their own review.
Prepare English supporting information from any Hebrew-language booking and compare the personal details with the passport. If a surname or transliteration differs between the travel document and an abbreviated reservation, clarify the discrepancy before paying. The device-only checker can inspect file properties; it cannot establish whether a translation, family record or unusual travel document will be accepted. Keep the original documents available.

Choose the safari visa from the first entry and destinations
For one Israeli traveller's Uganda holiday, compare the single-entry Tourist product. A Uganda-first trip continuing to Kenya or Rwanda needs the regional itinerary check. If the tour starts in Nairobi or Kigali, check the issuing route for that first country. Several lodges or national parks within Uganda do not create separate international entries, even when a package has a regional-sounding name.
For a later Uganda return or repeated visits over time, read the Multiple Entry evidence requirements instead of choosing it solely for a longer validity label. Resolve the document and purpose before payment, inspect the selected total and retain the correct reference for follow-up. A request acknowledgement is separate from the immigration authorisation and its actual conditions for the passport used.

Questions from Israeli travellers
Does this Israeli guide establish Uganda acceptance of a laissez-passer?
No. It concerns an ordinary Israeli passport. Israel's authority distinguishes laissez-passers and passports; confirm the exact document's acceptance with the relevant authorities for Uganda and the transit route before applying.

Can I combine two Israeli or foreign passport identities in one request?
Use the details and files of the single travel passport selected for Uganda. Do not mix numbers, scans or expiry dates from different documents. Check the corresponding nationality and any existing permission before changing documents.

Do children need their own identity documents for preparation?
Prepare the named child's own travel document and application identity files. An adult's passport or a family reservation does not replace that check. Confirm additional child-travel requirements for the family's actual circumstances.

Does a Uganda visa determine my permission to leave or return to Israel?
No. Confirm current Israeli document and return rules separately. The Uganda request concerns its destination permission; it does not extend a temporary Israeli travel concession or settle airline and transit requirements.

How much is a Uganda visa for Israeli citizens?
Uganda Visa's total price per applicant is USD 99 for a Tourist Visa and USD 199 for an East Africa Tourist Visa. Multiple Visa costs USD 199 for 6 or 12 months, or USD 299 for 24 months. The selected total appears before you send your application.
How long does a Uganda eVisa take to process?
The review time depends on the visa category, completeness of the application and immigration checks. Submit before travel and allow time for further document requests. Your intended arrival date is not a promised decision date. Monitor the email address used for the application.

How long can I stay, and when should I use my approval?
A single-entry visit can be granted for up to three months; your issued permission controls the actual stay. Uganda Immigration says the approval authorisation must be used within 90 days of approval. The travel window and the stay granted are different. Read both before departure.
